Well, I decided that I was going to go with a straight run at Salvaging, which would take only a few days, then build up my scanning power. I figured while I was waiting for the scanning skills to be trained, I'd mission run, and salavage those wrecks, to build up my funds, and so I'd get an idea of how it goes to salvage. Meanwhile, to pass the time while Salavaging, I have been mining up a belt in a destroyer. Yeah, I know, it's not the most efficient way, but it's better than a frigate, and right now I don't have the skills, funds or time to train to cruiser level.
Anyways, other then 3k isk rats, and helping somebody on a mission in the system I was in, I haven't had much excitement. Sure I'm up to Science II, and Survey III, but it's been somewhat boring....
Oh wait a second. A couple days ago I tried mission running for a level I, quality -18 guy. And got my ass handed to me. I barely won it with 55% structure in the end. Ergo, that's why I'm mining now. Building up funds for gear so I don't get so badly owned again.
I also discovered that it is more profitable to sell the mins unrefined than to sell them regularly. Who knew? Guess I need to do it to get more cash.
Also, I am officially looking for a corp now! Go me!

What have I been up to? (40K edition)
Well for starters, in 40k, I have become the dominating force in the local vogen campaign. I have the most points of any single player in the game, and I have defended my territories repeatedly from attacks. In fact, last night, I had two wins back to back in the campaign, allowing me to hold onto both Sniper's alley north, and the f**king Basillica. I have fought at least 4 battles over it, and honestly? I'm getting kinda sick of it, so I fortified it with my move to keep the bastards out. Now, I haven't begun any conversioning on the nightwing yet. Instead I have been planning on adding another unit. My choices boil down to Kommandoes, Burna Boyz, and Stormboyz. Each has their own pluses and minuses, and I'm sure I'll be able to figure them out, sooner or later. Stay tuned for the EVE update.

Skill plans
So, I was looking into professional jackassery, and two distinct paths came up to me, other than my piracy. They are can flipping, and salvage ops. I ran the figures up in EVEmon and came to two paths.
The can flipping one is this.
Skill plan for Davis Hmenthe
1. Science I (17 minutes, 30 seconds; 20,000 ISK)
2. Science II (1 hour, 21 minutes, 34 seconds)
3. Science III (7 hours, 41 minutes, 8 seconds)
4. Science IV (1 day, 19 hours, 28 minutes, 53 seconds)
5. Electronics I (17 minutes, 30 seconds; 20,000 ISK)
6. Science V (10 days, 5 hours, 58 minutes, 3 seconds)
7. Electronics II (1 hour, 21 minutes, 34 seconds)
8. Engineering I (17 minutes, 30 seconds; 20,000 ISK)
9. Engineering II (1 hour, 21 minutes, 34 seconds)
10. Electronics Upgrades I (35 minutes; 100,000 ISK)
11. Electronics Upgrades II (2 hours, 43 minutes, 5 seconds)
12. Electronics Upgrades III (15 hours, 22 minutes, 20 seconds)
13. Electronics Upgrades IV (3 days, 14 hours, 57 minutes, 47 seconds)
14. Electronics Upgrades V (20 days, 11 hours, 56 minutes, 6 seconds)
15. Hacking I (52 minutes, 31 seconds; 1,000,000 ISK)
Total time: 37 days, 12 hours, 32 minutes, 12 seconds; Cost: 1,160,000 ISK
While the Salavaging one is this.
Skill plan for Davis Hmenthe
1. Science I (17 minutes, 30 seconds; 20,000 ISK)
2. Science II (1 hour, 21 minutes, 34 seconds)
3. Science III (7 hours, 41 minutes, 8 seconds)
4. Astrometrics I(52 minutes, 31 seconds; 450,000 ISK)
5. lectronics I (17 minutes, 30 seconds; 20,000 ISK)
6. Survey I (17 minutes, 30 seconds; 36,000 ISK)
7. Survey II (1 hour, 21 minutes, 34 seconds)
8. Survey III (7 hours, 41 minutes, 8 seconds)
9. Salvaging I (52 minutes, 31 seconds; 1,000,000 ISK)
10. Salvaging II(4 hours, 4 minutes, 36 seconds)
11. Salvaging III (23 hours, 3 minutes, 32 seconds)
12. Astrometrics II (4 hours, 4 minutes, 36 seconds)
13. Astrometrics III (23 hours, 3 minutes, 32 seconds)
14. Astrometric Triangulation I (1 hour, 27 minutes, 32 seconds; 450,000 ISK)
15. Astrometric Triangulation II (6 hours, 47 minutes, 42 seconds)
16. Astrometric Triangulation III (1 day, 14 hours, 25 minutes, 52 seconds)
17. Signal Acquisition I(2 hours, 20 minutes, 3 seconds; 450,000 ISK)
Total time: 5 days, 4 hours, 28 seconds; Cost: 2,426,000 ISK
As you can see, the Salvaging one is more expensive, before gear, but takes alot less time. However, with Can flipping, all I really need is to get a fast ship with some decent warp stabilisers, so I can basically smash and grab, while Salvalging, I need scan probes, a ship capable of scanning, another ship good for salavaging, with enough protection when the rats show up, or the mission runner gets pissed. So, basically it boils down to
Salvaging :Done much faster, but hideously expensive
Can Flipping: will take longer, but will be cheaper.
Any ideas/suggestions?

Again with the EVE!
So, today, I had some free time, and I logged onto to switch skills training, and make some isk. I tried ratting in 0.6..... Although I was in a frigate. I learned that drones wreck havoc if used right, and if I try this crap again, I need to get a least a shield booster, and better guns. That being said, I fled to 0.7 space where I could pick on those rats.
Pick on them I did verily do! I blew up some 9k isk bounty targets, and had a jolly fun time. Then I warped to another belt.
What I found there was a freaking Battleship blowing up my rats! I don't know why! He warped out, so, in an act of pettiness, I stole the loot. Then ran. As I hit other belts in system, I found they too were picked clean, but the loot left behind. I kept stealin loot and such. It's their own damn fault for leaving it there for me to pick clean.
I grabbed some decent guns, a sensor thingy worth a good 50K, and 2 named mining lasers. Finding myself in a system with a ton of belts, decent mins, and a mining frigate for cheap. So, I sat in the belt mining up the mins, waitng for rat respawn, then when it happened, I held em off with two drones, until some overpowered guy showed up, blowed them up, and then warped out.
Then I grabbed the loot, ran off to another belt to wait out the 15 minutes, and then went back.
Next time! I try to flip cans, cause my path of jackassery is progressing greatly.

First day in Eve, again.
So, I stated up Eve with Davis Hmenthe, and decided to play around for a while. I did the two tutorial missions, and then I decided to do some light mining while waiting for my skill base to level up. It's easy cash. As I'm sitting in the belt, I'm checking local chat, and an interesting offer comes up. Somebody wanted some help with something, and was willing to pay a generous amount. After establishin that even me with my newb frigate was wanted, I signed up. I docked at the station, and found that my bank account had swelled by 2 million isk, a fleet invite, and a brand new frigate with a larger cargo hold. Now, my paranoia sense was a tingling, but I decided that I was new enough not to be a good target. So I signed up, and found out what the op was.
High Sec Piracy.
What would happen is that he'd find a hulk, hit it with his fully insured battleship, and kill it. Let Concord take him out, while I grabbed the loot, and then sell it for a large amount.
We managed to find a lone hulk in a 0.6 sec space. We got into possition, he got up right behind it. I was ready to loot, he was ready to shoot. But then, trouble arose!
I sat there, the hulk in my eyes, and a battleship hovering over my shoulder. I was wondering why he wasn't shooting, or scrambling. Sooner or later the hulk would wake up and run away....the problem was that he couldn't get a lock! I decided to try something daring. I, in my cheap frigate, without weapons, locked onto the hulk!
My bluff worked! The hulk transfered it's target scramblers to me! The battleship's systems overcame the target scramblers it had, and openned fire, utterly destroying the hulk. Concord came, I looted the wreck, and grabbed what equipement was left behind by my companions wreck, then hightailed it back to a station. Total take? 2 tech II shield extenders, 2 strip miners I, a tech II Cargohold expander, and about 20k of Omber and such. Not a bad take, especially for a noobie.
So, my bank account is, after spliting the loot, around 5 some million. I think this is a good sign. Also, I like piracy.

Starting up the ole EVE
I used to play EVE. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Then I got hit by real life and didn't have time to enjoy it anymore. But now I got time to play it, and well, this factional warfare thing is getting me interested. After getting a good deal of information, I decided I would hop back in, and start a new character. No offense to my old character Gren, but he was kinda boring to play and such.
So, I hopped in, and started making a new Gallente character. Got him all stated up and ready to rock and roll and stuff. I filled out race, subset, male, job, specialty, stats, facial form, appearance, etc. Then hit the button
I have been starting at this for *check watch* approx 2 hours now. This is slightly disheartening. I may need to either let this sit overnight (bad), re-install EVE (Worse) or even...*shudder*...play as Gren again (WORST!).
That's all for now.
Jeez, three posts in half an hour. I meybe have an ego problem.

My latest orky conversion and such!
So, as some of you mighta heard, I am planning to do a sweet conversion. See, I be planning to add a fighta-bomma to my ork army, for shear awesome factor. Now, as some of you know, I loot alot of things in my army. Heck, I don't think I have one vehicle with some looted parts on it....(My kans don't count.) So, the question remains, what will I loot to make this fighta-bomma?

This bad boy.
What I plan to do is to grab a viper, take the gunnery turret, mount some big shootas on it, then put the turret right behind the cockpit, as well as adding some more orky guns on it. I don't know what I'll use for the bombs yet. Anybody got any suggestions?

Introductionary post and such!
Hello folks. I am bunnyofdoom aka Threepwood, and this here by my blog based on my adventures in space. Both in the area of EVE and such, and the wild universe of 40k. You might here me going all orky, and exclaiming my love of green, conversions and wacky rules, or see me publish page after page of After Action Reports of mining ops. (Sample : 7 pm: Started mining Dense veldspar. 7:01Pm: Jetcanned it. 7:30 picked up jetcan full of DV. 7:31 Returned to mining. 8:30: Refined, and sold for a pittance. 8:31. Started mining Dense Veldspar again.)
Okay, I'll only post things that are interesting. So, welcome to my blog and such. Expect some news about fun conversions, and how I died, and who did it in Eve. Cheers!
